Pattern design and laser cutting in Clitheroe

Another lovely session….everyone is starting to have lots and lots of ideas! We experimented and began creating our designs for a piece of jewellery. One lady brought in a top, so she could be inspired by the pattern…..

We also had time to make a brooch…..

Evaline Ness..

I love my paper museum and paper victorian house so much that i started to do a bit of research into the illustrator Evaline Ness…..

and found i am inspired by her story and love her childrens` book illustrations…

Finally my paper Metropolitan Museum!

It didn`t arrive for Christmas and i`ve been waiting patiently….just when i thought it wasn`t going to come it did..yey! All the way from American and i can see it used to be an old reference library book.I`ll be making this and my victorian house both by Evaline Ness. Here is a little look…

My favourite things from Towneley Hall ….

It was a bleak day when i visited Towneley Hall….but despite this it still felt like I had escaped, so my visit left me feeling peaceful.

I`m always drawn to tiles……

And this packaging was beautiful……

I thought i might use some of the things i saw to inspire the Pattern Design and Laser Cutting course i am running in Burnley.
