I`ve always loved the Royal Exchange, I went on a tour around it years ago, which made me love it more! They make and design all their costumes in house, all the sound effects AND they have a lovely shop.
I`m so happy my new Ile de Re Collection is now being stocked there….you can find my new Holly Hock necklace there amongst others.
Holly Hock is made from laser cut walnut painted peach, pale pink with guinea foul feathers layered over the walnut in the centre. Easy to wear with a long gold chain, natural cord strap and gold clasp.
I think we`d missed the sunshine by a day, so when we arrived in Loch Lomond the weather was rainy and grey! The Loch still managed to look beautiful though….
One of my favourite things about Scotland is the lovely quaint villages…these houses in Luss were so cute..
Glasgow has the most beautiful Cathadral…
I love Charles Rennie Mackintosh, so when we decided to go for a weekend in Glasgow it was the architecture I was most looking forward to seeing. I`d been told Glasgow School of Art was worth a visit and it really was! Still used as an Art School it was so inspiring…with examples of Mackintosh furniture and a Mackintosh library that`s only open to the students on Wednesday with close supervision!
I popped into my new Glasgow stockist; The shop of interest, who now stock my new Ille de Re collection.
The corridors know as the hen run!……the male and female students would have been separated and this was the corridor the female students used to use.
A detail from the Mackintosh Library…
I`ve been working with a group of young people since October…the young people had such lovely ideas and their designs were so beautiful! We worked on creating a three-dimensional piece to include all of the group members designs, so as the piece represented the group, which they named, ‘ Teens Go Wild.’ The piece is now on display at Walkden Health Centre brightening up their foyer!
These are the things the group members said when asked what they liked most about the group…my favourite is, ‘walking in the park in crunchy green grass’ and ‘Fabulouse’ !
